26 Days of Mindfulness
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is being aware of our thoughts, body, and surroundings without judgement. It’s called a practice because it is something we can never perfect, but always improve. Throughout the day our minds wander, we zone out, and we over-react at times. This is normal and human! The practice means we can begin again, gently, without criticizing ourselves.
There is also mindfulness meditation, where specific meditation practices help strengthen our focus. But not all meditation has a mindful focus, and not all mindfulness requires meditation.
Benefits of mindfulness
Studies show that regular practice of mindfulness and mindful meditation leads to better mental health, physical health, mood regulation, and focus.

P is for Pause
Short pauses throughout the day can be so invigorating! Just taking a few minutes to sit with our eyes closed and without noise makes so much of a difference. Revisiting the Breathe exercises from a couple weeks ago can also help ease tension and slow the thoughts...
